Project management, market development, food security and value chain management
Carel is Director of Q-Point and is a senior consultant in the field of value chain management (supply chain management), market and business development and international project management. Before he established Q-Point in 2002, he worked for flower auction FloraHolland (logistics and market development) and was director chain management for consultancy company DLV Adviesgroep.
His main focus now is on the optimization of value chain and traceability in chains. Carel has extensive experience in project management for donor organizations such as Nuffic and World Bank, as well as in managing complex projects in agro and food chains (flowers, fruit & vegetables, dairy, poultry etcetera). In the past he has developed flower and plant concepts for garden centers, DIY and supermarket chains.
As a project director, Carel is now leading 9 capacity building projects for EP-Nuffic in the field of food security and integrated water resource management in Ethiopia, Kenya, Mozambique and Rwanda.
