Our consultant Olivia Ansenk recently participated as a keynote speaker in the online Lokakarya dissemination workshops. The event was hosted by Q-Point as part of the Nuffic Orange Knowledge Programme LMSINDO (Link and Match SMK Indonesia), with MSM as leading partner. The aim of the multiple-year project is to strengthen SMK teacher training at national and regional level by enhancing the educational and organisational capacities of the MoA POLBANGTAN system and SMKs, assisting SMK-PP Kupang to upgrade to the status of agricultural polytechnic.

Olivia Ansenk: A very interesting session involving Waibakul Negeri 1 SMK, Kupang PP SMK, Polbangtan Bogor, UNDANA ​and various agricultural sector stakeholders whereby the main insights of the labour market where shared. A very good outcome of the workshop is the commitment of the stakeholders to take part in the community of practice working groups that will work together with the institutions involved to strengthen selected courses and facilitate learning within their organisations and companies in NTT.

CONTENTS WORKSHOPS

The programme included LM findings, module selection and knowledge exchange. The following items were discussed:

Workshop 1

• the labor market findings and the feedback from stakeholders,
• approach of selection modules that can be improved in line with the LM
• approach to knowledge exchange
• presentation follow-up assignment for the person involved to select relevant modules and set up knowledge exchange

Workshop 2

• presentations from the institutes on the selected modules
• presentation / formation of knowledge exchange for the various modules related to the industry
• action plan for revision of selected modules
