GLOBALG.A.P. in bulb cultivation

Recently, four flower bulb growers on Texel received their GLOBALG.A.P. certificate for starting material (GLOBALG.A.P. PPM).

CONTENT CERTIFICATION

With the introduction of this certification, the companies comply with the following GLOBALG.A.P. modules: All Farm Based (AF), Crops Base (CB) and Plant Propagation Material (PPM). Certification includes site history and management, soil management, hygiene, crop protection, fertilization, propagation, trade conditions, traceability and health, and employee safety and wellbeing.

GUIDANCE

Q-Point guided the growers in introducing the requirements. The various systems that were already used by the growers, for example, for the registration of fertilizers and plant protection products, were carefully examined. The BKD registration was also a good tool for fulfilling a number of GLOBALG.A.P. requirements. Where there were still gaps, Q-Point provided sample documents that were made company-specific.
